Beginner Crochet - Part One - Square Coaster (crafthabitraleigh.com)
 
 
Join Craft Habit's Amy Stagner for our new two-part beginner crochet series in our new project based format. You do not have to take both part one and two but we recommend you do for a more balanced and in depth learning experience! These classes are a great starting place for our more advanced crochet and amigurumi classes.
Part One of this series teaches techniques of crochet which can be used for projects like bookmarks and scarves. Click here for details of our Beginner Crochet: Part Two class.

In this class, you will learn:
  • Chain
  • Single crochet
  • Double crochet
  • Color change/Add new yarn

This class is open 14+ only. If you have a child between 7 and 14 interested in learning crochet, please see our After School Crochet Club or our new series, Youth Crochet!
Supplies Provided:
  • K - 6.5mm hook (class use only)
  • 10 yards each of two colors of 3mm Bobbiny cord.
 
Class Policies & COVID procedures:
  • Masks are no longer required but always welcome! We are happy to provide a mask if needed. If you are feeling ill, please stay home and text the store to let them know. 
  • This class requires a minimum of 4 students enrolled, with a maximum of 4. Craft Habit will notify students at least 24 hours in advance if a class is canceled due to low enrollment. Students will be fully refunded for any classes canceled due to low enrollment.
  • Food and most beverages are not allowed during classes, due to safety concerns. You are welcome to bring water in a container that will not spill if knocked over. On occasion, BYOB is welcome and will be stated in the class registration page.
  • Class registrations are not refundable. If you cannot attend, you may find another person to take your place in a class. Please let us know their name in advance of the class starting.
  • Classes canceled by Craft Habit WILL be refunded. We will do our best to reschedule classes, and we will refund class registration fees for any classes that we have to cancel for any reason.
  • To respect our teachers’ time, please arrive 5 minutes before scheduled class time unless advised otherwise. Late arrivals may miss important information and may not be able to catch up to the class. We cannot issue refunds for late arrivals. Please shop for your class materials in advance!
  • Photography: We love to get pics and videos of our instructors and students in class and especially love to capture your projects when finished so that we can brag about you on our social media accounts! If you do not want to be filmed, just tell the staffer who pops in to take pics. We understand!
